Emmerdale fans treated to five new episodes in ITV schedule change

Emmerdale fans are being treated to a huge five episodes in less than two days amid heavily amended ITV listings.

The broadcaster and other channels have been continuously revising their published schedules following the death of Her Majesty The Queen. Both Emmerdale and Coronation Street were axed from their usual time slots to allow for extended news coverage and in a bid to catch back up, ITV screened three episodes of Emmerdale at once on Thursday.

Now, the channel is airing another two episodes tonight (Friday) from 8pm. This means soap fans will have been able to view five episodes in just over 24 hours.

On Thursday, an Emmerdale triple bill ran from 7.30pm, before an hour of Coronation Street followed at 9pm. On Friday, Emmerdale will run from 8-8.30pm, and 8.30-9pm.

Professor T will follow on ITV, and Coronation Street will not air on Friday. Other changes to today's listings have seen This Morning and Loose Women cancelled.

Instead, ITV will broadcast extensive news coverage, until Dickinson's Real Deal airs at 2pm. Tenable, Tipping Point and The Chase will follow, before more ITV news at 6pm.
