Emmerdale fans threaten to switch off over 'repulsive' scenes

Emmerdale fans were left disgusted by scenes during Tuesday's episode.

Gabby returned to online dating earlier in the week. Just as she was ready to give up the search, the character - played by Rosie Bentham - stumbled upon someone named Chris. Intrigued by his appearance, she decided to meet up for a date.

Ahead of the meeting, Laurel Thomas warned her stepdaughter to be careful on her date.

Laurel has recently engaged in a romantic fling with Kit the physio and spent time with her new beau on tonight's episode. However, it was revealed at the end of the episode that Kit had betrayed Laurel as he was behind the Chris account.

The latest instalment of the long-running ITV soap saw Gabby and Kit or Chris the morning after their date. She flirted heavily with him before they returned to the bedroom.

Fans watching at home were left sickened by the scenes. Taking to Twitter, Kath said: "Might have to switch off, this is actually repulsive, they've gone too far this time". TVMusings22 said: "Does Emmerdale really need this love triangle? Like wtf is wrong with you all", while Michelle said: "The Gabby/Laurel/Kit storyline eugh".

Mick said: "Gabby’s going to be mortified when she realises she’s copped her step-mum’s sloppy seconds". Eli said: "Scenes of distress? Yeah whatever that Gabby scene was".

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
