Emmerdale fans are worried David Metcalfe may be in danger, or could soon be the victim of a controlling relationship.
He and girlfriend Meena Jutla have clashed on numerous occasions recently, usually when she hasn't got her own way.
First off when he didn't tell her that he loved her after her own declaration, and then when she suspected he was getting too close to his ex and pal Leyla Harding, she is often seen to have a go at him.
More recently, fans begged him to dump the "psychotic character" after she raged at him, and ruined Leyla's partner Liam's proposal to her.
Immediately jumping to conclusions and then taking it out on David, fans believe she is controlling and that this could get worse.
Taking to Twitter during the latest episodes, fans feared there was an abuse storyline on the cards for the couple, and that David may fall victim to coercive control.
While he considered dumping her after her latest outburst, he did ask for some space as an apologetic Meena tried to get his forgiveness.
Noticing her recent actions and her continuous moments of lashing out, many fans shared their theories on where it could be heading - believing it was all clues to an abusive relationship.
One viewer tweeted: "#Emmerdale I think David is in danger???"
Another added: "Meena is too controlling. Run David!"
A third agreed: "I feel a coercive control storyline brewing with David and Meena."
This was echoed by another viewer who said: "Meena is the coercive controlling one."
A fifth fan said: "I feel like they are trying to set up a controlling relationship storyline between David and Meena. Often they will try and embed hints at the beginning of a new storyline."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
