Eagle-eyed Emmerdale fans spotted a massive blunder last night as evil Pierce Harris finally revealed himself to ex Rhona Goskirk.
The terrified vet discovered her former husband had taken her missing pal Vanessa and was holding her hostage.
Distressed Rhona agreed to meet twisted Pierce after receiving a video call.
But fans were most interested in the fact that there was a glaringly obvious way for Vanessa to escape.
After she was thwarted when hiding a shard of glass, Vanessa was tied up to a set of drawers in Laurel's kitchen.
And this prompted lots of confused tweets, with viewers asking why she didn't just open the drawers?
One said: "Vanessa why don't you just pull the drawers out or lean over and pull the gag off your mouth duh."
A fourth asked: "Taken me a week to realise, but is Vanessa tied to a drawer handle? Couldn't she just... lift the drawer out and escape?"
"Vanessa is hardly chained to the bars of strangeways.... set of f***ing draws... and if they are ikea then they will come off with one big tug."
But anyone losing sleep over the mistake can rest assured Vanessa would open the drawers if she could, but she explained last wee they are fake.
One Emmerdale fan explained: "I mean, you try not to be annoyed by folk like this but Vanessa literally said the words 'stupid fake drawers'
After her last ditch attempt to escape failed, Pierce ramped up his cunning scheme.
Rhona was stunned to receive a call from a distraught Vanessa, but soon realised what was going on.
After Pierce grabbed the phone, he said: "Rhona, god I've missed you."
Fearful Rhona asked where Johnny was and threatened to call the police - but was forced to agree to his demands to keep Vanessa and her son safe.
Pierce wanted them to meet somewhere "romantic" where they would not be disturbed and warned her not to call the police.
