Emmerdale fans spot epic tan blunder as Bernice returns from Australia

Emmerdale fans were in hysterics on Friday evening as they tuned into the latest episode of the ITV soap.

Bernice Blackstock returned to the Dales on Thursday, after having run off to Australia and leaving her daughter Gabby behind.

However, as she returned and reunited with her child, she insisted that she was back to help Gabby amid her pregnancy.

But on Friday, she ended up bumping into her ex Liam and his new fiancée Leyla - but when they announced their engagement, Bernice didn't exactly look shocked.

As they had lunch, Gabby put two and two together and realised that her mum must have already known about the news and that's the only reason she had returned.

Absolutely fuming, Gabby stormed out of the pub while Bernice played dumb.

But Emmerdale viewers were more concerned with her appearance - as opposed to why she had returned to the Dales.

Many were baffled as to why Bernice was so pale, despite having lived Down Under for well over a year.

"Bernice doesnt have much of a tan considering she was in hot Australia #emmerdale," one person tweeted.

Another posted: "For someone who's supposedly been living in Australia for some time, Bernice is rather pale. #Emmerdale."

A third added: "Bernice doesn’t look well #Emmerdale," while a fourth wrote: "For someone who was in Australia, a rather warm country, Bernice is remarkably pale #emmerdale."

Other viewers felt sorry for Gabby and one tweeted: "Bernice really is a nasty piece of work. I actually feel sorry for Gabby #Emmerdale."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
