Emmerdale fans speculate on who 'Stephen' is after Luke's sexuality denial

Emmerdale fans began furiously speculating on who 'Stephen' could be as Luke denied his sexuality tonight.

Luke, played by Max Parker, was confronted by Ethan tonight after he told him to pretend to girlfriend Victoria that he didn't know him.

Ethan followed Luke outside and demanded to know "what that was on about".

"No nothing, forget about it," Luke responded dismissively.

Ethan replied: "I didn't think I'd see you again, the way you walked out."

"Look my girlfriend, Victoria, she's been through a lot, alright?" Luke pleaded. "And I don't want her to think that I've lied to her over something that doesn't mean anything anyway."

The vicar's son responded: "Don't worry, I'm not going to out you or anything-"

"I'm not gay," Luke snapped.

"I never said you were," Ethan insisted.

But Luke snarled: "Or Bi! Stephen was a one-time thing."

"Your sexuality is nothing to be ashamed of..." Ethan tried to tell him calmly, but Luke hit back again.

"Look, I don't want to get into this, alright? You don't know me. And I don't know you, alright? So just stay the hell away."

One fan tweeted: "So Luke had a thing with a person called Stephen and Ethan knows about it? What if this Stephen turns up. #Emmerdale."

While another questioned: "Who's Stephen? I wonder if he was one of that stag party?"

A third wrote: "I wonder if Stephen was the camp stag do organiser from last week #Emmerdale."
