Emmerdale viewers are speculating another big return is on the way, and they could be linked to Caleb Miligan's revenge plan.
A mystery man named Adrian has been helping Caleb to target Kim Tate, amid his plan to destroy her and steal everything she has.
Caleb is the secret son of Kim's first husband Frank Tate, who died in 1997 from a heart attack. Kim was at the scene when Frank collapsed during a blazing row, and she cruelly made the decision to leave him to die.
While only the pair of them were in the room and seemingly knew what happened, there has always been speculation that Kim was involved - despite the fact she was presumed dead at the time after faking her death.
That said, Caleb somehow knows or "heard a rumour" that Kim killed Frank, and this is a huge motive for his revenge against her, as well as the fact he wants "what he's owed" in terms of the money.
Recently it emerged Caleb was working with someone called Adrian who was in on the plan to take down Kim.
As Adrian began meddling, fans couldn't help but think he was a past character with a hidden identity.
More recently, fans have wondered whether 'Adrian' is someone linked to Kim's past, and perhaps they told Caleb what happened to Frank.
One name in particular has been mentioned, and this former character would definitely want revenge on Kim.
Her ex-husband Steve Marchant is now tipped to return by fans, who think he is the mystery Adrian who is helping Caleb.
Steve first appeared in 1996 and it was clear he didn't get on with Frank's son Chris Tate, with Steve getting close to his wife Rachel Hughes.
They went on to date before Steve moved on to someone else, before getting involved with Kim. The pair later married while it all ended in tears.
Kim and Steve schemed to get their hands on Frank's fortune after his death, with it recently confessed by Kim that she did in fact steal a lot of money which she hid.
Back in the 90s, Steve left in 1999 after being set-up by Kim and he was sent to prison.
He tried to steal a horse to sell it for money only to run over Kathy Glover, almost killing her.
Steve decided to silence her and tried to suffocate her at the hospital, but Kim stopped him before setting him up and having him sent to prison.
After successfully getting her hands on some of the Tates' fortune, she escaped while pinning the whole thing on Steve who was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Steve should have been released by now, while Kim didn't return to the village until 2018 - and there has been no real mention of Steve.
So could he finally be back and ready to take down Kim with the help of Caleb? Viewers certainly thing so.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Ah....but what if Adrian was someone else? Someone who did know Kim and took the rap for her little horse stunt...24 years ago?"
A viewer replied to this theory, suggesting: "Mr Steve Marchant?" as a third wrote: "emmerdale should bring back Steve marchant into the story with Caleb or a new storyline involving him, who agrees?"
Another fan said: "Obvs always here for Steve Marchant content."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
