Emmerdale's Vinny Dingle learned the hard way that he shouldn't have kept an eye on killer Meena Jutla on Friday night - but some fans think they've rumbled who will bring the villain down.
In the latest episode of the ITV soap, his determination to find out who really killed Ben Tucker left him in grave danger.
Vinny is on a mission to prove girlfriend Liv Flaherty is innocent of the crime, after her arrest a few months ago.
He began looking for clues about the death, and other recent incidents including the death of Andrea Tate during the survival challenge event.
On Friday though he was left alarmed, when Meena's behaviour and her comments about his investigation suggested she was hiding something.
He witnessed her threatening Noah Dingle and found out she'd broken into his home to find a ring that Samson was hiding for Noah, which he had actually stolen from Meena.
Things came to a head when Noah let slip how Meena told him something bad would happen to him if he went to the police about her.
He claimed she wasn't scared of anyone or anything, with Vinny then recalling his chat with Meena in the café when she had said whoever killed Ben was "impressive" and "fearless".
It all fell into place and Vinny's face dropped, leading to him seeking out Meena to find out the truth.
As he saw her getting into her car and driving off, he took Sam's van and set chase.
When he reached her car, unaware Meena was on to him, he was confused to come across a disused barn and decided to enter.
But when he got inside he was left disturbed to find missing Manpreet Sharma, Meena's sister, barely conscious and tied up.
As he went to help her Meena snuck up behind him, and whacked him over the head leaving him unconscious.
With Noah and Samson both aware of Vinny's investigation and knowing something isn't right with Meena, will they manage to save him before it's too late when they realise he is missing?
Fans believe the pair will be the ones to save Vinny, and bring Meena down for good after she practically went to war with them over the ring Noah stole.
Noah is on to her now, and with Samson also sure something isn't right viewers have suggested the duo will be the unlikely downfall of killer Meena.
One fan said: "I guess it's left to Samson and Noah to work this one out."
Another agreed: "Imagine if Noah turned out to be the hero and take down Meena…"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
