Emmerdale fans slam 'hypocrite' Cain for criticising Nate and Chloe's romance
Emmerdale fans were not impressed with Cain Dingle as they tuned into Friday's episode.
The latest instalment of the ITV soap saw Cain berating his son Nate Robinson over his interest in Chloe Harris.
The pair have been texting one another recently and were supposed to meet up, but Nate appeared to be worried about the fact that Chloe is 19.
Cain definitely has a problem with it and told Nate not to pursue a romance with the redhead at all.
"So it's true, you're hanging about with schoolgirls?" Cain said, as Nate replied: "First of all, she's 19."
Cain then commented: "Defensive, can't think why," as Nate fired back: "Secondly, given some of the things I've heard about you...."
Cain quickly interrupted and told him: "Let's not make this about me. What do you think Tracy is gonna think when you've got Frankie for the weekend and you're hanging around bus stops with teenagers?"
But Emmerdale viewers were also quick to remember that Cain can hardly talk as he has been involved with a female much younger than Chloe.
Back in 2001, Cain was determined to get revenge on his former love interest Angie, who had broken off their relationship, and targeted her daughter named Ollie.
Not only did Cain groom underage Ollie and sleep with her – he even called Angie before doing so in disturbing scenes.
Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Cain you are a hypocrite Ollie Reynolds ring a bell! #Emmerdale."
Another said: "Cain would know all about hanging out with school girls. The hypocrite #Emmerdale."
A third person tweeted: "Cain to nate 'what you doing hanging around with school kids?' Short memory cain? #Emmerdale."
Another viewer said: "#emmerdale Oh yes, that's a good point! - Ollie was 15 when Cain slept with her to get at her mother, Angie. People in glass houses, Cain!"
Someone else added: "Cain talking to Nate hanging around with school kids. Pot kettle black mate. #Emmerdale."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
