Emmerdale fans slam graphic scenes as Liv is viciously beaten up in prison by inmate

Emmerdale fans have slammed the ITV soap over "horrific" scenes, where Liv was beaten up.

Viewers tuning in to watch the soap were left devastated by the horrible scenes, which saw Liv struggling in prison after being attacked by one of her fellow inmates.

Liv has been in prison, as police suspect she was the one who murdered Ben Tucker, who was actually killed by Meena Jutla.

As the episode wrapped up tonight, scenes crossed over to the prison as an alarm bell rang throughout the corridors. Liv was then seen on the floor, her face bloodied, battered and bruised in scenes that horrified viewers.

"There was absolutely no need for this, sorry but it’s bad enough at anytime on TV but this is blooming Emmerdale not Peaky Blinders," one viewer fumed online.

Another added: "I'm usually the one to say its not that bad, don't let your kids watch it then etc but this was just a bit too far even I felt a bit sick. One of the worst beat ups in a soap ever," as a third wrote: "That was a horrible scene with Liv on the floor ffs."

"That shot of Liv at the end of Emmerdale was horrific. This is a programme on at 7pm. Emmerdale is losing the plot," a fourth shared.

In heartbreaking scenes during tonight's show, Vinny headed to see Liv in prison, but she fumed at him for not helping enough as he told her Manpreet was still in a coma and wasn't able to confirm Meena had killed Ben and the others.

Later on, a dejected Vinny headed home, where Mandy vowed things would be ok with him and Liv.

"Remember who we're talking about here. Next time you see her, everything could have changed," she said, "Manpreet could have woken up and spoke to the police. The coppers, they could have found more evidence. She's innocent."

The scenes then moved to the prison to see Liv laying lifeless on the floor.

"Oh wow more pain and misery for Liv... Not like that isn't status quo," one viewer wrote, as a second added: "Absolutely vile."
