Emmerdale fans say Meena reminds them of Jodie Comer in chilling scenes

Emmerdale's dramatic Meena storyline came to a head in the first part of tonight's double header as she took her first victim in the show.

Fan theories have raged as to who the unfortunate victim will be that is killed by Paige Sandhu's character.

The ITV soap has teased that it could be her partner David Metcalfe's son, Jacob Gallagher, or his former flame, Victoria Sugden.

But, as some Emmerdale fans predicted at the end of Tuesday's jaw-dropping cliff-hanger, it was actually Leanna Cavanagh, who Meena killed on the day of her 18th birthday party.

Leanna discovered Meena had murdered someone else in the past - which led Meena to pursue the character, played by Mimi Sliner, through a cemetery before pushing her off a bridge.

It quickly became clear that Meena was going to show no remorse for her actions - and the cold response to the death reminded some viewers of Jodie Comer's performance as Villanelle in Killing Eve.

One person tweeted : "Meena channelling Villanelle from #kiĺlingeve #emmerdale "

A user added: "Meena is actually reminding me of Villanelle from Killing Eve"

Another responded to say that while her mum can see the similarity with the performances, she still prefers the scouse superstar's role.

She said: "My mum keeps saying that but villanelle plays it way better lol"
