Emmerdale fans 'rumble' what Charles' dad Victor went to prison for as they share fear

Emmerdale fans are convinced they know what Charles' dad did to end up in prison.

Victor has stepped into the Dales after serving over quarter of a century in a high-security prison. Bosses have warned that Victor is a man with a mysterious past and deep connections within the village.

Fans have been speculating what his arrival may mean for both Charles and Victor's ex wife Claudette and what secrets he has been hiding about his past - and how people will react when they find these things out.

Emmerdale Producer, Hannah Cheers, teased: "Victor's arrival in Emmerdale turns life for the Andersons upside down.

"The brilliant addition of Eddie Osei as Victor has allowed us to learn more about who the Andersons are and we can't wait for the audience to watch as the drama unfolds. While Claudette is confronted by the husband she prayed she'd never see again, Charles has to face up to painful past traumas and he makes no secret of the fact that Victor is not welcome here. But who will win out?"

Eddie Osei, who plays Victor, added: "I feel privileged to be joining such a great show.

"I am honoured to be working with the fantastic cast and crew. It is very exciting for me to be playing Victor who is such an enigmatic character and who causes the Anderson family so much trouble!"

Now fans have been guessing what he was in prison for - and what it might mean for the residents.

One fan of the ITV soap took to social media to question: "OK Charles, what did your Dad do mate? #Emmerdale," as a second asked: "I wonder what Victor did that put him inside for 25 years? #Emmerdale."

Another viewer said they thought he might be a bit like Nish is to Suki in EastEnders, as they guessed: "I’m getting Nish Panesar vibes from him," whilst another wrote: "Claudette looks petrified of Victor - I wonder if he abused her?"

One viewer was convinced it was murder that saw Victor serve his lengthy sentence, whilst another guessed whatever it was, he could be covering for something Charles did, adding: "I think it's something Charles did that Victor took the fall for."
