Emmerdale fans 'rumble' major twist as Harriet's true intentions for Malone 'exposed'

Emmerdale shocked fans recently, as vicar Harriet Finch embarked on a steamy affair with villain DI Malone.

But now some viewers believe they've cracked the case, and there's more to the tale than shown.

Harriet refused to continue the fling after cheating on partner Will, while the pair aren't really together right now amid his dodgy dealings.

Will's been forced to help Malone, who has him trapped in his criminal world, but he has no idea about the affair with Harriet.

Now, some fans are convinced Harriet has a secret, and that her real plan will see her take down evil Malone for once and for all.

Corrupt officer Malone worked with Will back in the day, and they were both on the dodgy job that got Will sent down for years.

Harriet was undercover at the time and got Will sent to prison, while she did actually love him.

Years on, and Will returned to the village in 2019 leading to the pair reconciling.

When Malone made his own comeback into their lives, Harriet didn't know the full truth about what happened in the past, and what was going on between them in present day.

As things have escalated, Will was recently left beaten up in hospital by Malone's heavies as he was forced to work for him.

Elsewhere, and Harriet shockingly jumped into bed with Malone, cheating on Will amid their romance troubles.

Now, the fling has continued despite her initially calling it off - with her most recently meeting up with him at a hotel.

But viewers don't think Harriet likes Malone, and have suggested she could actually be using him to get revenge for everyone he has hurt.

Knowing her past, fans questioned whether they had rumbled a major twist and if Harriet was getting close to Malone to bring him down for good.

One fan said: "Maybe Harriet's actually planning on bringing down Malone from the inside? If not she's just a total B***H."

Another tweeted: "Does harriet bring him down? "

A third added: "Hoping that Harriet is the one that brings down Malone, hoping that she ends him."
