Emmerdale fans believe they have rumbled how Leyla’s dark secret could be connected with Jai after Monday night’s episode saw Laurel accuse him of returning to drug use.
Jai found himself in a difficult situation after the HOP's part-time workers launched a furious protest over Kim's plans to bring in zero-hour contracts.
Even Jai's partner Laurel decided to join in with the strike, wanting to show solidarity, even though she won't be personally affected by Kim's changes.
Although Kim and Jai came to an agreement over the industrial action, Kim told Jai she was not happy feeling like a “loser”.
The ongoing tensions between Jai and Kim have paved the way for high drama later this week following Wednesday’s episode.
In the latest instalment of the soap, a packet of drugs was found next to Jai's missing wallet - leaving Laurel flabbergasted.
Laurel accused him of a relapse with his addiction, but Jai insisted Kim must have set him up as revenge for challenging her.
But Emmerdale fans predicted there could be another likely explanation for the bag of drugs, pointing to the mystery around fellow Dales character Leyla.
This comes after Emmerdale spoilers revealed what Leyla has been hiding on the ITV soap, as it is confirmed she is secretly taking drugs, as is Suzy.
Taking to Twitter, viewers pointed to the bag as Leyla’s “stash”, with one writing: “Ooop Leyla left her bag.”
Another wrote: “Oh hello! and for once Jai's innocent because it's Leyla's stash!” as a fellow fan posted: “Uh oh Jai’s gonna think that Kim has planted the drugs on him where they’re actually Leyla’s!!”
Another fan begged: “I can’t stand it when someone gets blamed for something they haven’t done. It’s Leyla!!! Please don’t let it drag on and Jai gets blamed for months.”
Another wrote: “We all know those drugs are Leyla’s.”
However, actor Chris Bisson, who plays Jai, does not seem to agree with fans at this point, as he recently explained: “Kim clearly has an axe to grind, as she feels Jai made her back down over the staff contracts and she thinks it makes her look weak.
“She has already made a veiled threat about it, so Jai thinks this must be Kim's revenge. All clues point to Kim at this point.”
