Emmerdale fans realise where they've seen sleazy Max before after Aaron showdown

Emmerdale fans were left "racking their brains" on Monday after spotting a familiar face on the ITV soap.

Sleazy newcomer Max made his mark in the Dales, as he was seen buying booze and condoms from David's shop.

Prior to this he'd been chatting up Liv Flaherty, who has recently relapsed after turning to alcohol due to her guilt over Paul Ashdale's death.

Her loved ones are worried her alcoholism has returned despite her claiming she is fine - with her clearly not.

After asking Max to buy some alcohol from the shop she invited him back to her house, only to be busted by brother Aaron Dingle who walked in to find the pair.

Sleazy Max was trying to get Liv to sleep with him after some drinks, but luckily Aaron walked in at the right time just as she felt uncomfortable by his presence.

Soon a row ensued when Max answered back to Aaron, with Liv trying to get him to stay.

Aaron threatened to punch him if he didn't leave, and eventually Max fled.

But viewers tuning in quickly recognised the character, and the actor who played him.

As many took to Twitter to try and figure out where they had seen him before, some viewers had the answer.

Max was played by actor Will Barnett, who is no stranger to soap drama.

Will recently portrayed Tyler Jefferies in Coronation Street (ITV)

He recently portrayed Tyler Jefferies in Coronation Street, the son of Vicky.

Tyler bullied Simon Barlow, and also got Amy Barlow pregnant before refusing to have anything to do with her.

His mum Vicky was Robert Preston's other woman, who left the street after falling pregnant with his child - with Robert killed off in December 2019.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode on Thursdays at 8pm.
