Emmerdale fans have predicted a huge twist could see Tracy Metcalfe or Leyla Harding accidentally turn killer in upcoming scenes.
Maya Stepney has been grooming Jacob Gallagher, the teenage son of Leyla and stepson to Tracy, for months.
It’s now teased that a dramatic conclusion could be on the cards for the storyline, with a new teaser seeing Maya attacked.
While few details have been revealed, and with it not confirmed the affair will actually come out, it’s been heavily reported their secret romance will in fact be exposed.

The trailer also sees Leyla smashing up a mirror in rage, leading to the speculation she could attack Maya.
But now fans have come up with another theory, after learning Tracy would also feature in the big night out plot that the trailer focuses on.
Taking to social media ahead of the scenes, a viewer speculated that Tracy might take aim at Maya, while another wondered if she and Leyla would team up.
There was also a theory that one of the ladies may accidentally kill Maya in a dramatic twist of events.
One viewer commented: “Imagine if Tracy & Leyla set out to hurt Maya and end up killing her?!”
Another said: “Is it going to be Tracy, Leyla or David who is going to cave Maya’s head in?”
Maya appeared with a bloodied head in the trailer, while it isn’t known what happens to her.
Viewers are divided over whether the character should be killed off or face justice for her horrific crime to Jacob.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
