Cathy said she would put in a good word for her however she might not be the right person to help as Cathy has bullied April before.

During tonight’s episode it seems things have now turned awkward between the pair as Arthur was seen skipping school to avoid her.

Arthur later bumped into April and apologised but she looked heartbroken as he revealed that he just wanted to be friends.

However viewers are convinced that he didn’t reject her because he didn’t like her but because he will soon come out as gay.

@runninoncaffine Tweeted: “I may be wrong about Arthur but after watching tonight episode am I the only one who thinks he gay? #Emmerdale.”

@sparkysue wrote: “#Emmerdale Arthur is gay.” @T1968Queen said: “Probably been said before but I’m thinking Arthur is gay #emmerdale.”

@Pilch1972 asked: “Who else reckons Arthur is going to come out as gay....#Emmerdale.” While @felixw1 added: “Prediction: Arthur isn't interested because he's gay #Emmerdale.”
