Emmerdale fans are predicting that Bernice Blackstock will be recast after it was announced that she would be returning for Christmas.
Bernice made a swift exit, missing her own wedding, after discovering daughter Dee Dee's dad had been rushed to hospital in Australia.
Actress Samantha Giles has confirmed that she wouldn't be returning to the ITV soap anytime soon, so fans were baffled when Liam received a phone call from Bernice this evening.
A delighted Liam then announced that Bernice would be returning in time for Christmas.
This led some fans to predict that Bernice would be recast.
One viewer tweeted: "Are they going to have someone new playing Bernice #Emmerdale."
