Emmerdale fans outraged at potential plot to 'bulldoze' The Woolpack

There’s a fear Emmerdale’s legendary pub The Woolpack is going to be bulldozed as part of a scheme by Al Chapman.

Fans of the ITV soap know, Al Chapman, played by Michael Wildman, has invested into the iconic Emmerdale village boozer. This is in response to the money troubles cousins, and landlords, Marlon and Chas Dingle have been experiencing in recent months.

Viewers of the show know Al has been working with someone else on the deal to buy into the pub. Although, their identity has yet to be revealed.

Fans think Al and his unknown business partner might have sinister intentions for the Woolie.

Taking to Facebook to air their theories, one fan posted: "I think he will buy more shares off Marlon so he has control and try to knock it down for a housing development to make a fortune."

Someone else echoed: "Think it's a new person (Al's bringing in), probably a big company or something going to attempt to change the pub into something else."

"I have a feeling he's bought it as a money laundering front," another fan predicted.

Another viewer said: “I’m scared Al is trying to bulldoze the pub.”
