Emmerdale viewers are outraged at rumours of a former EastEnders star eyeing a role in the ITV soap.
Earlier this week, we brought you news of Danniella Westbrook, 47, who played Sam Mitchell in EastEnders, revealing she is desperate to join ITV rival Emmerdale.
She said: “I love EastEnders, I love Sam, but my dream is Emmerdale.

“I’d love to be in Emmerdale, I’m a country girl. You can see where I live – I ride horses.
“One of my school friends Kevin Mathurin, is now in Emmerdale, playing the vicar.”
Well, it is fair to say, many Emmerdale would not be keen to welcome Danniella to the village. The response on social media has been incredibly overwhelming.
Tracy Ashton said: “No, no, no. Will definitely switch off.”
Linda Crabtree agreed: “She’d be like a fish out of water. I don’t think there’s a need for a vote.”
Joan Carey said: “No way, she would certainly not be an asset to the Dales.”
Sheena Spence said: “No way, I couldn't find any character for her that would be believable.”
Colin Adams insisted: “Hell no. If she gets into Emmerdale I will certainly be switching off.”
Jill Hughes concluded: “No, that’s all I have to say about that without being rude.”
Looking across social media, that seems to be the general consensus but you never know, she might prove the doubters wrong if she bagged a role.
Daniella Westbrook has had a well-documented history of drug addiction down the years in recent times she’s looked to turn things around. She’s appeared in Hollyoaks as well as films Mob Handed and Essex Vendetta.
The star moved to Aberystwyth, in Wales, last month, and is said to be loving rural life.
