Emmerdale fans notice Lydia's blunder during first lockdown episode

Emmerdale aired their first ever lockdown episode tonight and fans were quick to notice a blunder made by Lydia.

The show has returned for several special episodes about the coronavirus pandemic.

But production has been stripped back, with make-up artists still not working on set, meaning some make-up errors are likely to be made by actors.

And viewers were quick to pick up on Lydia's slightly orange make-up on her face and took to social media to say so.

Kelly Morse said: "Why’s Lydia’s face so orange? Is it because she had to do her own make-up?"

Dean said: "Has Lydia done her own make-up?"

Sue Redmond said: "What’s going on with Lydia’s make-up? Stops at her chin."

Mel Vickers said: "Lydias face looks so orange can tell the makeup artists haven’t been in lol."

And Chloe said: "Lydias a tad orange."

Aside from the make-up issues the episode focused on Lydia and Sam trying to adapt to lockdown, struggling with supermarket queues and trying to get hold of toilet paper.

The pair's relationship was put under pressure as Sam tried to protect Lydia from the outside world.

And when Sam was furloughed and it got him thinking about buying his own farm so he was his own boss.

*Emmerdale continues at 7pm on ITV on Wednesday
