Emmerdale fans left howling as they spot Liv paying £5 for bottle of water

Emmerdale fans couldn't believe their eyes tonight when they spotted Liv paying £5 for a bottle of water.

Liv Flaherty was seen in the cafe in tonight's show picking up something to drink.

She paid and left, and eagle-eyed viewers soon realised she'd handed over a five pound note and got no change.

They flocked to Twitter to declare the cafe could be the most expensive eaterie in the country.

One wrote: "WOW Liv just brought a bottle of water at the café gave £5 got NO change @itv #emmerdale ."

Another added: "Bloody hell. Fiver for a bottle of water in the cafe?!? #emmerdale #liv @emmerdale ."

A third tweeted: "Liv just paid £5 for a bottle of water... how expensive is the cafe in emmerdale."

Others blamed Brexit for pushing up prices in the Dales, with one joking: "Did Liv pay 5 quid for a bottle of water?? post-brexit inspired? lol."

It was a light-hearted moment in a dramatic episode as Jimmy was arrested and fans were left wondering whether Arthur was going to get away with it.

Jimmy was accused of attacking Archie and being the reason he ran away, with Arthur seemingly getting off scott-free.

Viewers were left fuming as Arthur failed to get his comeuppance, but some predicted he will eventually get caught and unmasked as the bully.

One tweeted: "I can hardly wait until they catch Arthur bullying Archie on a hidden camera, is going to be awesome."

Another added: "Arthur needs to be caught out the nasty little s**t he’s become #Emmerdale wonder what Ashley would say if he was here."

*Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with additional episodes on Thursdays at 8pm
