Emmerdale fans were not impressed on Monday night as Leyla Harding came clean about her pregnancy to husband Liam Cavanagh.
Leyla had been keeping the news a secret from her other half following the death of his teenage daughter Leanna.
However, as she suffered a bleed and feared she was having a miscarriage, she ended up telling Liam everything.
In heartbreaking scenes, Leyla was seen wiping away tears from her face as she confirmed she would be going for a scan in a few days to see whether she had lost the baby or not.
Liam almost dismissed the possible miscarriage and explained that it's very common in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Earlier on in the episode, Leyla was at the surgery being checked over by Wendy and told her she was determined to protect Liam by coping alone.
She managed to persuade Wendy to bypass Liam and arrange a scan for her directly, but when Liam spots Priya acting oddly and asking about Leyla's so-called emergency, he suspects that something might be wrong.
After confessing all to Liam, Leyla asked him if he could attend the scan with her.
In a shocking response, he told her he's busy and added before walking out: "Do let me know if you start to have a fever or heavier bleeding."
Emmerdale viewers tuning in at home were left feeling angry over Liam's reaction and took to Twitter to comment.
"#emmerdale Liam is so selfish & self-centred. Leyla made a big mistake marrying him, I don't think he can continue cite Leanna's death as an excuse for his lack of empathy," one posted.
Another person tweeted: "Oh Liam that definitely wasn't the reaction Leyla expected, a bit of a cuddle, and words of comfort would of been ok, instead of talking to her like one of your patients. #emmerdale."
A third added: "Poor leyla #emmerdale, no matter if his daughter just died. Shocking."
And a fourth viewer tweeted: "Poor Leyla. She is losing the baby and he just walks out #Emmerdale."
