Emmerdale fans in tears as Moira tells distraught Victoria 'no means no' after her rape

Emmerdale fans were left an emotional wreck as they watched a distraught Victoria blame herself after she was raped by Lee.

She poured her heart out to Moira who told her without question that "No means no" and she shouldn't feel guilty.

Viewers took to Twitter in droves to praise the emotional storyline and the sensitivity in which it was handled.

Many said that it was one of actress Isobel Hodgins finest performances, bolstered by Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira.

Moira urged Victoria to reconsider reporting the vile attack to the police but she believed that she was at fault because she had invited Lee in to her home.

Horrified Emmerdale fans think violent pre-watershed rape scene was too graphic

"Locking it up inside you isn't going to do you any good," Moira said. "You want to be able to talk to people like Dianne and Robert who care so much about you."

However Victoria insisted that she didn't want to tell them and heartbreakingly confided in Moira that she felt guilty about what had happened because she let him come into her house.

Breaking down in tears, she said: "I know he raped me, but I also know how it looks."
