Emmerdale fans have been left in shock discovering the age of iconic character Cain Dingle as the village favourite celebrated a big milestone.
The ITV soap’s bad boy was surprised on his birthday by Noah and Sarah at the garage. Moira also suggested he should come home for lunch as it would just be the two of them.
Wanting to make sure everyone knew about Cain's birthday; Noah and Sarah decorated his work station, filling it with balloons all inscribed with the number '50'.
They also brought two large foil helium balloons in the shape of a '5' and an '0'.
However, it appeared Cain wasn't in the mood for celebrating as he scowled at their gesture.
Our colleagues at the Liverpool Echo report fans were shocked to learn Cain was 50 - with many thinking he was younger.
Woon said: "Happy '50th' birthday Cain Dingle! You don't look a day over..."
Aaron tweeted: "I can honestly say... Cain is definitely the fittest 50-year old I have ever seen!!"
Shaheen wrote: "Cain is ancient."
And Matthew said: "I wonder how Cain reacts to #Christmas going by that reaction to his 50th birthday."
