Emmerdale fans horrified as Zak and Faith Dingle kiss in spot wife Lisa died

Emmerdale viewers were mortified, as the latest episode saw Faith Dingle pounce on former flame and brother-in-law Zak Dingle, months on from his wife Lisa's death.

After battling a terminal heart condition, Lisa passed away on the sofa on her wedding day to Zak.

Months on, and Zak is doing his best to move on, but things took an unexpected turn during Wednesday night's visit to the ITV soap.

Faith opened up about her ex Shadrach, the father of her daughter Chas and brother to Zak.

Zak and Faith had a fling way back when, leading to her falling pregnant with their son Cain Dingle.

During an emotional chat, Faith spoke of her love for her late ex, but insisted she didn't regret her moment of passion with Zak.

Zak himself opened up about his grief for Lisa, leading on to Faith's teary-eyed speech.

Suddenly, fans were stunned as Faith lunged at him and snogged him without warning.

Zak was taken aback, but no more than viewers were who not only realised it was the spot Lisa died in, but also there was a photo of the late favourite in the background.

Mortified, they took to Twitter with one fan commenting: "Faith, how dare you!!! And with Lisa's picture behind you."

A third tweeted: "Hitting and coming on to a recently bereaved grieving man? A new low even for Faith. She can't be alone for 1 minute. Nasty."

This was echoed by a fourth fan who said: "What is Faith doing!" while another added: "OMG Zak and Faith kissed."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
