Emmerdale fans hit out over 'hypocrite' with 'short memory'

Emmerdale fans were quick to slam a "hypocrite" during Wednesday's episode.

This week's third trip to the Dales saw Dawn torn between going to see Clemmie's swimming performance and taking an important work meeting with Kim Tate. Clemmie has been let down plenty of times in her short life, and Dawn didn't want to put her through that again.

But her boss, and step-mum, Kim was not very understanding.

Dawn had told Clemmie she would "try her best" to make it, and later told Kim: "I think I'm going to have to miss this meeting. I've promised Clemmie, it's her first swimming badge".

But Kim replied: "Every day is a school day, and in business you need to make tough decisions, where there's no perfect solution. But this is your call".

Dawn said he would speak to Nicky, who could tell Clemmie she wouldn't be able to go and see her. But some soap fans took issue with the scene.

Taking to Twitter, Chris said: "Was Kim not telling Dawn how she regrets the way she treated Jamie growing up and how she should've been a better mum? Boy do they forget quickly."

Gemma said: Gemma said: "Kim was saying she regrets not being a better mum 5 mins ago and now she's telling Dawn to ignore her kid for a work meeting? Hypocrite much?", while Phil said: "Kim's got a short memory".

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
