Emmerdale fans hit out at 'hypocritical' Belle Dingle over Jamie Tate comments

Emmerdale viewers hit out at Belle Dingle's claims about Jamie Tate in the latest episode of the ITV soap.

Thursday's double-bill saw Belle learn Jamie had slept with his wife Andrea just hours after they had sex in his car.

The pair gave into temptation and rekindled their affair, despite Jamie having just reunited with his wife.

Belle is also with Ellis Chapman, but neither he or Andrea know the truth about their partners betraying them.

As Belle overheard Andrea talking about her night of passion with her husband, she was left mortified knowing he'd been with her shortly before.

She quickly made a decision that Jamie wasn't the man she thought he was, and no longer wanted to continue the affair.

Not only that, but she laid into him calling him "disgusting" for his behaviour.

Declaring she and Andrea both deserved better, she stormed out.

Viewers were a little confused though over her reaction, given her own deceit.

They said the fact she went after a married man, knowing Jamie's situation, made her as bad as him.

But it was more that Belle was also in a relationship and cheating on Ellis that led to many blasting her a hypocrite.

One fan tweeted: "Yes belle cos you're so innocent."

Another tweeted: "Has Belle forgotten about Ellis...I mean that's not hard but..".

A third added: "'You're disgusting' yeah Belle and so are you for throwing yourself at a MARRIED MAN silly girl."

Meanwhile, a fourth said: "Oh shut up Belle. You're such a hypocrite. What about YOUR boyfriend Ellis? Double standards much. Silly little girl."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
