Fans had some advice for Lydia Dingle after watching Sam try to make amends in tonight's Emmerdale.
Lydia had found a Christmas invitation hanging out of her letterbox and appeared bemused as she read it, unaware a grinning Sam was watching in the distance having put his plan into action.
He later bombarded her, dressed as Father Christmas, on a tinsel rimmed cart with some of his family members, dressed as reindeers, helping out as they sang Please Come Home For Christmas.

Marlon held a smoke machine as they all coughed in between singing and jingling their Christmas bells. It was an absolute eye sore of a display.
Sam ended it by saying: "Christmas won't be the same without you Lydia. Please come home."
But fans thought Lydia should do the exact opposite, as they took to Twitter to express their own thoughts.
Jazzi said: "If I was Lydia I would do a runner right now #Emmerdale."
Tabitha said: " Run Lydia run! #emmerdale."
Aidan said: "Run Lydia from that family #Emmerdale."
Ryan said: "Poor Sam has scared Lydia to death #Emmerdale."
Later on, Sam and Lydia were chatting in private.
Lydia asked: "What were you thinking?" and Sam replied: "I thought it'd be romantic."
She said it was a nice idea but went on to explain they have split up and the issues run deeper than that.
She said: "I know you love me Sam. But I don't think you love me as much as you love your family. There, I said it. It just feels like you put them first above everything every time."
After her heartfelt chat with Sam, they were interrupted by Samson who said that Christmas wouldn't be the same without her.
Reluctantly, Lydia agreed to have Christmas lunch with the Dingles.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub with an additional episode at 8pm on Thursdays
