Emmerdale fans gutted as Jamie Tate leaves soap for good after dramatic twist

Emmerdale viewers left distraught as Jamie Tate is set to exit the Yorkshire Dale village and there are no plans of his return.

During a recent episode on Thursday, November 4, viewers saw the star make a shock return from the dead after disappearing following his dramatic car crash.

As much as it was a surprise to see him after such a long time, fans previously predicted his return and claimed they “saw it coming.”

His mum Kim was adamant he may still be alive despite everyone's doubts and in a shocking twist Andrea mum was in all the whole plan as she attended her daughters funeral and took her granddaughter Millie to reunite with her dad.

Kim was left disappointed as she lost her granddaughter and lost hope of her son's return as she broke down in tears.

Even though viewers can rest assured that Jamie is indeed still alive, Emmerdale bosses have confirmed that there are no current plans for the character to return, meaning that we’ve seen the last of him for now.

After hearing the news of his exit, fans rushed to Twitter to share their disappointment as they were forced to say goodbye.

One fan wrote: "So that was Jamie exit… well"

Another Tweeted: "Bit sad really as the characters of Jamie and Joe could have been such a good story but it's just kind of fizzled out."

A third added "There goes another Tate! Well, @AlexanderLinc12 you've been an absolute treat to watch as Jamie! you're brought an edge to him, the only Tate can be!

"Wish you all the best for the future! You've been amazing!"
