Emmerdale fans go wild as real-life soap couple share rare scene together

Emmerdale fans were thrilled when one of the soap's real-life couples finally got a scene together.

In Wednesday night's trip to the Dales, Rhona Goskirk and Cain Dingle were seen sitting at Cain and Moira's kitchen table together.

It came as the group summoned Cain's son Nate to the farm to offer him a work deal.

The young dad signed a deal with Whiley's Farm that has seen him working himself into the ground with very little pay-off.

But Moira and Cain have invited him to work back at Butler's as Rhona steps back.

Emmerdale fans, however, were simply distracted by the rare sighting of Zoe Henry and Jeff Hordley appearing in a scene together.

Jeff is well known for playing no-nonsense Dingle sibling Cain, while Zoe plays vet Rhona, but unlike many other soap couples, they didn't meet on the set of the ITV soap.

The couple first met in college in 1994, before tying the knot in 2003.

Jeff and Zoe share two children together, daughter Violet who was born in 2005, and son Stan who was born in 2008.

So fans were shocked to see them sharing screen-time.

@Chriskaxo said: "I missed what the offer was to Nate can someone tell me? I was too distracted by Cain and Rhona moment #emmerdale."

"Rhona and Cain in same scenes - so lovely #emmerdale," @lindibea commented.

@GeorgiaBowring added: "#Emmerdale It seems odd seeing Rhona and Cain sat together!"

@AmySian1993 tweeted: "So rare to see cain and Rhona ina scene together knowing they’re together in real life #Emmerdale."
