Emmerdale fans furious after Robert 'victim blames' Victoria after rape horror

Emmerdale viewers were fuming tonight after Robert Sugden victim blamed his sister following her harrowing rape ordeal.

During heartbreaking scenes last week, a flashback revealed that Victoria had been raped by stranger Lee during a night out.

Unable to contain his own guilt, Robert let rip and ended up lashing out after the police pointed out that there was a lack of evidence.

"I'll get cracking with that lawyer," he said as Diane tried to usher him out. "We've wasted enough time as it is.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Victoria asked as Diane insisted that this could wait.

"No it can't," he said. "I wasn't there at the start when I could have made a difference. I'm not making that mistake again."

"There's nothing you could have done," Victoria sighed.

But Robert continued: "I would have made you get examined, I could have talked you round."

"Talked me round?" she repeated incredulously. "Oh yeah, cos you always know what to do Robert."

"Yeah well I wouldn't have let him in the house, that's for sure," he barked back.

And viewers were not impressed, with one tweeting: "Wtf Robert!!!!!!!!! #emmerdale."

While another commented: "Dear lawd Robert! Choice of words! Never mind stepping in it, he planked into it... #Emmerdale."

A third remarked: "Robert that was bang out of order #emmerdale."
