Emmerdale fans fear soap legend Cain could exit Dales after storyline parallel clue

Emmerdale fans have been left fearful Cain Dingle could be headed for another explosive showdown like that with Al Chapman after scenes on Monday.

The soap veteran, played by Jeff Hordley, made a surprise return to the village after his son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) confessed to shooting Al ( Michael Wildman ).

Yet his freedom from prison proved to be bitter-sweet for the mechanic as his son Kyle was sent to a children's home on the day of his release.

The Dales troublemaker is now pushing his feud with his long-lost brother Caleb Miligan (Will Ash) up a notch after the pair have been at loggerheads over Kyle’s looming fate.

Caleb put the spanner in the works of Cain’s plan to take the fall for his young son, who has now been sent back to live with his mum, Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) on the condition he didn't see Cain before his trial.

But despite arriving in the village under the pretence of reconnecting with his long lost family, the brothers have been growing further and further apart.

In fresh scenes on Monday night, they again exchanged words in the cold as Cain threatened him and told him to leave the village.

While Caleb seems too good to be true, he has helped the Dingles by getting both Kyle and Cain an early release, which he reminded Cain.

He also noted the money he has spent on lawyers, claiming they will be able to help the schoolboy during his trial.

Yet while the newcomer seems to have won over everyone else in the village, Cain isn't buying it.

Emmerdale fans are now concerned the character might be flying too close to the sun and could be being set up for a dramatic exit from the soap.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer compared it to the earlier storyline involving Cain and Al – which could again have deadly consequences.

They wrote: “Every Cain and Caleb scene is literally just recycled Cain vs Al scripts, grown men behaving like toddlers.”

A second added: “Cain has become like a spare part, just like the ones in the garage,” as another penned: “The Cain character has become such a yawn.”

Another added: “I used to like Cain, but he's getting on my nerves. He never stops being angry.”

“This Caleb clearly being out to take everyone away from Cain is tedious,” one fellow fan wrote.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
