Emmerdale viewers are worrying that Meena Jutla will frame another villager for Leanna’s murder.
The nasty nurse pushed Leanna Cavanagh to her death in Thursday night’s episodes after the teen discovered evidence of Meena stealing the Emmerdale Pride collection money and also that she was connected to the ‘foul play’ suspected in the death of Meena’s best friend Nadine years prior.
After pushing Leanna from a bridge following a pursuit of her through a graveyard, Meena robbed Leanna’s corpse of her engagement ring that Jacob Gallagher had bought for her.
On Friday night’s episode, Bernice Blackstock discovered Leanna’s corpse in the stream beneath the bridge and the authorities were informed.
Later in the episode, Leanna’s father Dr Liam Cavanagh was informed of his daughter’s death and approached the crime scene before breaking down and growing angry and upset over what happened to Leanna.
Evil Meena was present while he was at the crime scene as she accompanied her boyfriend, Jacob’s father David Metcalfe, to the scene of Leanna’s death.
While police begin their full investigation into the murder of Leanna Cavanagh, fans are fearing that innocent villagers will be blamed for what happened.
Many were quick to recall that villager Dan saw Leanna talking with personal trainer Billy on the day of her death and he may be recorded s the last person she was seen alive with.
One fan penned on Twitter : “Watched @emmerdale sobbing! Meena is a psycho, Billy will be blamed because Dan saw them hopefully he realises the clothes change! Jake knows she kept the ring and will find Meena wearing it. Who else will she kill before being caught though and will Billy go down? #Emmerdale ”
A different Emmerdale viewer commented: “Could Billy or even Jacob actually end up being potential suspect's in Leanna's murder? If it's Billy he's going straight back inside given his history. Maybe Jacob will be the one to find her given he went looking for her later after brutally rejecting her yet again? #Emmerdale ”
Meanwhile, another fan of the soap predicted: “Though her prints are clearly at the scene of the crime Billy instead of psycho #Meena will get blamed. At least first of all. #Emmerdale ”.
Elsewhere, one ITV viewer noted: “Billy blamed for Leanna's death / murder? #Emmerdale @emmerdale ”.
Finally, one admirer of Emmerdale concluded that it wouldn’t be Billy who got blamed: “Meena will blame someone else for what she done i expect till will be Jacob”.
