Emmerdale fans have been left fearing for Sarah Sugden on the ITV soap.
The young Dingle lass has been struggling with a great deal of anxiety of late and has gone on a quest to track down the family of whoever was the person that donated their heart which she received in 2018.
Last week, Sarah's digging took her to a meeting with Chloe, the sister of her apparent donor Gemma and who was pleased to meet with Sarah.
However, the meeting turned uncomfortable as Chloe asked to feel the beat of Sarah's heart, referring to it as Gemma's.
Sarah later had a panic attack before the meeting ended, with Chloe looking upset as Sarah left with Lydia Dingle.
On Monday, Chloe arrived in the village to apologise to Sarah but also to get to know her more and offered to reveal information about Gemma to Sarah.
The pair spoke a bit before Chloe offered to meet up again and share more stories about Gemma with her, with Sarah agreeing and remaining secretly in contact with the eerie Chloe via text messages.
Naturally, fans of the Yorkshire based soap took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the storyline with many not being convinced that Chloe is who she says she is or that her motives for the meeting are sinister.
One Emmerdale viewer penned: "Sarah's so desperate for a non-dingle friend she'll even put up with someone that creepy".
A different fan of the soap wrote: "DON'T trust her Sarah seriously. The fact Chloe actually went as far as to track her down after one little meeting is kinda beyond creepy is it not? #Emmerdale ".
Meanwhile, another viewer of the soap noted: "I don’t trust this gal, don’t think she’s who she says she is #emmerdale ".
Elsewhere, another Twitter user wrote: "don't think Chloe is genuine. I think she could be pretending to be someone related to Sarah's donor family. Sarah needs to be careful".
Finally, one Emmerdale viewer concluded: "Something very dodgy about Chloe #Emmerdale ".
The mysterious story continues tomorrow night as Chloe and Sarah meet up once again with the former offering Sarah a gift.
