Emmerdale viewers fear Marlon Dingle will be framed for Graham Foster's murder, after the true killer was unveiled.
In a twist, none of the seven suspects were to blame for Graham's brutal demise.
It was former character and Rhona Goskirk's rapist Pierce Harris who killed him, in a surprise twist.
But Marlon had been headed for village villain Graham after learning he and Rhona still planned to flee the village with his son Leo.
After an earlier run-in with the character, he wanted revenge blaming him for Rhona's planned exit.
He set out for a fight, asking to meet him in the woods.
Marlon never got to Graham though, leaving as the character lay dead.
He had no idea about his murder, but what was known was he was on his way for a showdown at the time of the death.
Rhona had been worried about his angry behaviour, while Graham confessed to her how Marlon had wanted to talk with him - in scenes that aired moments before his death.
Taking to Twitter , fans predicted trouble ahead for the character and that he might even be framed.
One viewer said: "You are right, Pierce did it, but would he pin it on Marlon."
Another commented: " #emmerdale Marlon is SO getting banged up."
A third added: "Marlon’s defo getting the blame!!"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
