Emmerdale viewers were horrified to learn Meena Jutla would target toddler Theo Metcalfe this week, and that she would contemplate murdering him - just weeks after killing 18-year-old Leanna Cavanagh.
Leanna had uncovered her dark past and recent lies and the fact she'd killed her best friend Nadine, so Meena shoved her off a bridge and killed her.
But now Theo could be in grave danger, with Meena abducting him as part of her malicious game to get back at boyfriend David Metcalfe and his close friend Victoria Sugden.
Meena contemplated killing Theo, the actress who plays her revealed, in scenes that have left viewers "disgusted" and horrified.
Her possessiveness of boyfriend David and desperation to have him all to herself has led to her acting out, and on Thursday she targeted his young son.
After initially telling him she would be caring for Theo instead of Victoria, Meena was soon roped into helping out at the shop instead when things did not go to plan.
Jealous of Victoria who has been getting close to her boyfriend, she decided to take action but fans claimed she went way too far - while Meena has no idea they recently shared a snog.
The character stole Theo from the house, luring him out and away, before acting innocent when she was alerted to Theo being missing.
David was frantic with worry and furious with Victoria for letting him out of her sight, before Meena decided to play the hero as if she had found him wandering around.
Ahead of the episode, Meena actress Paige Sandhu confessed the character actually contemplated murdering the child and not just taking him.

It crossed Meena's mind in the scenes that by killing the youngster, she would keep David and Victoria apart for good.
Viewers were horrified by this revelation and the lengths sick Meena was going to, leaving Theo in harm's way - with many taking to Twitter to slam the latest twist in the storyline.
One viewer said: "This is so disgusting," as another tweeted: "This is so sick ! Throwing a teenager off a bridge on her 18th birthday , now endangering babies."
A third added: "This is such a sick storyline," while a fourth commented: "I don't think that this with Meena and the little boy it's gone far enough and please wrap this storyline up about Meena."
Meanwhile, actress Paige recently told The Mirror: "I definitely think she'd kill a child, she has no empathy at all. She doesn't care, she can't, she literally can't empathise.
"The way I played the scene was that I believe that Meena deliberated between just kidnapping Theo or killing him, and making it look like an accident.
"The benefit for her would be David would never be able to forgive Victoria, meaning she would be out of his life.
"But I think the reason Meena didn't go there was because then David would be grieving, and that would be really boring and annoying and then I'd have to look like I care, and that sort of isn't that great for me so maybe the best thing is to kidnap him and then I can bring him back, and I will look like the hero.
"She loves playing the hero, it's actually really interesting I did some research about the differences between male psychopaths and female psychopaths, and male psychopaths have this need for power… whereas female psychopaths, they want admiration, appreciation and that attention, that adoration and love kinda thing.
"Meena loves to be the centre of attention and to have people loving her, all the compliments, she's the life of the party and wants it to be all about her, so playing the hero is her ideal."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
