Emmerdale fans devastated as Danny Miller's exit causes fresh heartache

Emmerdale fans were left gutted when they realised that Liv Flaherty's (Isobel Steele) good news will have heart-breaking consequences.

She's unaware that brother Aaron Dingle, played by I'm A Celeb's Danny Miller, has left the village permanently after 13 years.

Speaking to the Mirror back in November 2021, Danny Miller explained that he was "very emotional" about his decision and that it had been a "big part" of his life.

He said that the tough soap filming schedules was part of the reason he wanted to leave and said that he wanted to be around more for his family after welcoming a baby boy with his fiancée Steph.

But Aaron's sister Liv has no idea that her brother has left.

She finally had good news on tonight's episode (January 26).

She's currently stuck behind bars on suspicion of murdering Ben Tucker, which has left Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) trying to clear her name.

Liv has had a visit from her solicitor, telling Vinny: "When I went in the room he was smiling. they've found new evidence, Vin.

"I dunno what it is but I'm going to court tomorrow for a hearing, fingers crossed! I think they're gonna let me out!"

The pair were beyond excited at the glimmer of hope and Liv told Vinny: "Oh tell the family, no grudges, and Aaron, make sure he knows about the hearing."

Fans were gutted as they realised it's all leading to fresh heartbreak for Liv who has already had an incredibly tough time.

Taking furiously to their keyboards, fans expressed their disappointment.

@GrianneDoherty1 tweeted: "Aaron's not coming back for the hearing really? Not even a call to say he's sorry for ever doubting Liv? Thinking she'd killed Ben.

"Surely that's the absolute least she deserves after the way they actually left things last time? Booze or not. She's gonna be devastated."

@BobbyWilde2 seemed upset too, adding: "Well this is going to end in tears for Liv."

@RyanGTweetsTV echoed the sadness, writing: "Aaron won't be there to support you Liv".

@JamieNews81 continued: "It's gonna be good news, Liv. Well good and bad. Aaron's not coming back."
