Emmerdale fans were delighted on Wednesday evening as Vanessa Woodfield returned to the village.
The latest instalment of the ITV soap saw Vanessa pull up outside Tracy Metcalfe's house - but her ex Charity Dingle was the first person she saw.
In a rather awkward scene, Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) came face-to-face with Charity and her boyfriend Mack.
The couple were sharing a tender moment when Vanessa interrupted them and said sarcastically: "Don't let me spoil your moment."
Once inside Tracy's house, Vanessa was keen for a catch up and told Nate that she was so glad he'd been there for Tracy over the last few months.
She also claimed that she had moved on from her time with Charity (Emma Atkins) and is now dating someone new.
Meanwhile, Charity was seen trying to reassure Mack that her relationship with Vanessa is well and truly in the past.
Taking to Twitter, Emmerdale viewers shared their delight at seeing Vanessa back on their screens.
"Vanessa is back in Emmerdale #Emmerdale so happy that she is finally back in Emmerdale @ChelleHardwick @emmerdale," one person posted.
"Welcome back Vanessa, We have missed you #emmerdale @ChelleHardwick," another tweeted.
A third wrote: "Vanessa and Tracy scenes. It's so good to have her back #Emmerdale."
Someone else added: "Vanessa back and suddenly #emmerdale is watchable for me again."
Other viewers predicted that it's only a matter of time before Vanessa and Charity reunite.
"'Vanessa's in the past. Done & dusted. Me & you now that's the future,' Really Charity? Whose she actually tryna kid seriously? #Emmerdale," one person tweeted.
Another said: "Watching Vanitydale for the first time since Vanessa left but it didn’t occur to me I’d have to sit through this MackRat garbage. #emmerdale can we get a timelime on the vanity reunion."
