Emmerdale fans were delighted as Vanessa made her return to the village.
Vanessa left the soap in May 2020 after actress Michelle Hardwick, took maternity leave following the birth of her first child, Teddy.
The last time viewers saw Vanessa was when she went to visit her mother.

She did however appear on a video call in July 2020 on the three year anniversary of her and Charity's first kiss.
But since she left the village, a lot has changed.
Charity is now with Mackenzie and Vanessa is supposedly dating another woman.
However, she returned to Emmerdale tonight to see her half-sister Tracey and her boyfriend Nate.
Fans were ecstatic to have her back in the Dales, as many hoped for a reunion between Charity and Vanessa.
Ryan tweeted: "She's back Welcome home Vanessa we've missed you."
Kirst said: "Can’t believe I need to get invested in #Emmerdale again because Vanessa is back and I’m a sucker for Vanity."
Hayley tweeted: "Vanessa is back in Emmerdale, so happy that she is finally back in Emmerdale."
Emma said: "And there she is. Welcome back, Vanessa Woodfield!"
And Orla added: "It’s finally time. she’s back."
