Emmerdale viewers aren’t impressed with the soap's crossover as part of the show's attempts to raise awareness of the climate crisis.
In Wednesday's episode, Amelia and Amy were chatting about an idea for the local cafe to introduce a Meat Free Monday.
She got the idea from EastEnders’ Peter who is doing the same thing in Walford. Amelia went on to show a video from her phone of Peter sharing the idea.

Viewers were left cringing and couldn’t help but run to Twitter to rant about soap crossover.
One fan wrote: “This confused me when Walford was mentioned, as thought that’s the town in Eastenders, what’s it doing in Emmerdale”
Another commented: ”Getting far too political and having Eastenders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale quoting each other is as ridiculous and believable as superheroes being real or believable.”
A third added: “CRIIIIINNNGE at the shoe-horning of ‘Stenders into #emmerdale."
The unexpected crossover came after it was recently confirmed that Emmerdale, Eastenders, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks would be coming together to raise awareness as part of Climate Action Week.
On Tuesday night EastEnders viewers spotted two Coronation Street stars make a shocking appearance when Tiffany Butcher watched a video of Maria Connor and Tracy Barlow having a heated argument over the pollution.
For sure we will see more soap crossovers as the week continues with famous faces popping up at unexpected times.
Emmerdale is broadcast weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays
