Emmerdale fans convinced they know who Gus really is as they spot 'dodgy' link

Emmerdale fans believe they might have spotted a link between two very emotional plotlines.

During tonight's episode, Mary Goskirk was in for a rude awakening after finding out her girlfriend Faye was a romance scammer. Fans were left heartbroken by the revelation and got even more concerned when Faye pushed her over during a scuffle which left Mary unconscious.

There were fears this might be the end of actress Louise Jameson on the soap but luckily, her daughter's ex husband found Mary just in time. Gus Malcom's surprise return still doesn't sit well with Rhona.

She was left shocked when he turned up in the village unannounced to ask for permission to use her frozen eggs to have a baby with his new wife. While Rhona was inclined to give her permission at first, she later said she wouldn't be able to live with herself, knowing that her child was out there somewhere.

Viewers now think Gus might be involved with Faye's scam and could be using Rhona's mum Mary as a way to get her to change her mind. Taking to Twitter, they shared their theories.

@Jamal06122771 commented: "Why do I have a bad feeling Gus and this woman are working together. He looked a bit dodgy leaving the house." @Rosepetal98_ said: "Mary’s going to convince Rhona to give Gus permission to use her embryos!"

@pam_debeauvoir asked: "Does Ghastly Gus think Rhona will repay him finding her mum, by changing her mind about the embryos. I do hope not." @Bu71954521Tracy wondered: "Is Gus related to Faye."
