Emmerdale viewers have a wild new theory after a new character arrived on the soap in the form of Kim Tate's doctor.
Kim had been suffering from ill health and it transpired she was actually being poisoned by a mystery assailant, but viewers were distracted by who visited her home for the tests.
The unnamed doctor, played by Funlola Olufunwa, may have another very important role, as fans think she could be Ethan Anderson's biological mother.
Lawyer Ethan has been desperately searching for his birth mother - could this doctor be the answer to all his prayers?
One viewer tweeted: "I wonder if that doctor that came to see Kim Tate will end up being Ethan’s mum #emmerdale ".
"Maybe that doctor is Ethans Mom #Emmerdale," predicted another.
Fans have also been left convinced Ethan's mother is actually Manpreet Sharma, after spotting a key clue.
On Monday, viewers watched as Ethan vowed to find his biological mother and turned to his dad's ex Manpreet, played by Rebecca Sarker, who attempted to arrange for them to meet up.
However, his mother never turned up and Manpreet ended up consoling Ethan.
She said: "It's her loss, you know, not seeing what a brilliant young man you’ve become. You’re amazing, mind you, I always knew you would be."
Yet fans were convinced that Manpreet was hiding something and that she was actually his mother.
However, at the end of the episode, it emerged that Meena had actually been texting Ethan pretending to be his mum so that Manpreet could reunite with Charles.
Meena had given Ethan a number, pretending that it was from medical records but it was actually the number of a phone she had bought.
Later on this week, Charles notices that his son appears to be down and questions Manpreet on whether she knows if something is bothering him.
Manpreet doesn't give anything away but implores Ethan to tell his dad that he is trying to find his biological mother.
But, in doing so, she asks that she is kept out of the conversation.
Will Ethan ask his dad Charles about his mother? And what will he find out?
