Emmerdale fans convinced character will be framed for DI Malone's murder

Emmerdale fans are convinced a innocent character will be framed for DI Malone's murder.

Last week, viewers saw Malone intimidate Dawn by telling her the testimony she gave against him had been taken as false.

But angry that Dawn had gone to police in the first place, Malone pulled a gun and tempted her to take her own life by overdosing on heroin.

But Malone got his comeuppance when Dawn retaliated and killed him.

Fans watched dramatic scenes last week, with Dawn and Harriet believing the corrupt police officer was already dead after Harriet hit him with a kettle in self defence.

Harriet and Dawn were stunned, with Dawn saying they should call the police and tell them it was done in self defence.

However, on tonight's episode, Dawn's dad and Harriet's partner Will was brought in for police questioning .

And the Hotten detective was convinced Will had something to do with Malone's disappearance.

Fans were also certain Will would be framed for Malone's murder.

Gillian said: "Will’s gonna get done for the disappearance of Malone, I’m telling ya!!"

Rach tweeted: "Will is gonna dig one big whoppa of a hole for himself."

Another user said: "Will is going to take the blame for Malone's murder when he finds out I suspect."

And Michelle said: "Will will go to jail for Malone’s murder I bet with no real evidence whatsoever."
