Emmerdale fans convinced Al Chapman is hiding something huge in 'secret daughter' twist

Emmerdale's Al Chapman was accused of having an affair during Wednesday's episode, by girlfriend Priya Sharma.

The character had found a bracelet in his possession, initially stolen by teenager Sarah Sugden.

Sarah returned it with Priya claiming it wasn't hers, only to be told Sarah had taken it from Al's laptop bag.

On Wednesday, the moment came when Priya finally confronted Al over her findings and her suspicions.

Al had an explanation though, with it all appearing to be a misunderstanding.

He said that it was a gift for Priya's 6-year-old daughter Amba for her birthday.

The reason he hid it from her was apparently because it was expensive, and he was a little embarrassed.

Priya was annoyed at herself for thinking the worst in her partner and remained apologetic.

But as the episode went on, not everyone was satisfied with Al's claims.

Taking to Twitter, many confessed they believed he was lying and possibly hiding something.

As he appeared very shifty over the bracelet, many questioned if it was for someone else.

One fan said: "So what do we think? Al has a secret daughter?"

Another agreed: "Bound to belong to his daughter or dead relative Priya??"

A third confessed after the scenes: "I don’t believe him."

Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
