Emmerdale fans concerned for Paddy as furious Chas fears they'll lose baby Eve

Emmerdale's Paddy Kirk found himself in hot water again on Tuesday, as he and partner Chas Dingle fell out over baby daughter Eve - with Chas fearing she'd be taken into care.

Chas felt bad in the latest episode of the ITV soap, after a confession to Paddy the day before led to him walking out.

Last week Paddy accidentally left baby Eve in the back of the car, as he rushed pal Marlon Dingle to hospital.

Marlon had suffered a heart attack, but he had forgotten Eve was in the car with the little one soon found by someone in the car park.

Social services became involved, leaving Chas horrified and furious with Paddy.

On Monday she confessed she couldn't trust him to be alone with their baby daughter in case something happened.

They lost their baby daughter Grace in 2018, after she died shortly after being born having been diagnosed with bilateral renal agenesis while in the womb.

Paddy was distraught with what he'd done to Eve, but Chas couldn't move past it and struggled to forgive him.

After finding a note from him saying that he couldn't be around, she worried about his whereabouts.

But that was the least of her worries when social services turned up for the meeting they had both forgotten about.

Chas could only pretend Paddy was on his way for so long, before they left and informed her they would need to return again.

Paddy eventually showed up and realised he had forgotten the meeting, as a tearful Chas tore into him once more.

She blamed him for their situation, and the fact social servives wanted to come back to have another meeting.

But not everyone sided with her though, and many were angry with how Chas was speaking to Paddy.

One fan said: "Oh for god's sake Chas, wind it in a bit, you're starting to get really boring."

Another tweeted: "It's NOT like Paddy purposely left Evie in the car alone is it? It was a total accident that literally could of happened to anyone, even Chas. They both totally forgot Social Services would be calling after all, not just him."

A third added: "Poor Paddy can’t do right by Chas it seems!!!"

Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
