Emmerdale fans concerned by Lydia Dingle's bizarre behaviour ahead of health scare

Emmerdale viewers were shocked by Lydia Dingle's random angry outburst at her husband Sam on Friday.

She behaved very out of character as she lay into Sam for knocking the bunting she had just folded over and into the dog's bowl.

Her vicious reaction had fans wondering what had got into her, but it might be due to her health scare.

She is terrified to take the test for Huntington's disease in upcoming scenes, because it is the disease that killed her father and she has a 50% change of developing it.

Lydia, played by Karen Blick, screamed at Sam: "Oh no, Sam, you great useless clob!

"The bunting into the dog's bowl, it's taken me ages to fold all that, do you enjoy making my life difficult, eh?"

"It were an accident!" exclaimed Sam.

"Why can't you be more careful, eh?" Lydia demanded.

"No you never do, do you? You know sometimes Sam I am sick to the back teeth of you I really am!" Lydia interrupted.

"Flaming 'ell," said a baffled Sam, as Lydia stormed upstairs.

One viewer tweeted: "Wtf lydia that was dramatic #Emmerdale".

"What’s up with Lydia? Bit snappy #emmerdale," pondered a third.

"Wooooooooooooooooooo Lydia.... I bet she's up the duff duff another miracle dingle baby  #Emmerdale," predicted a fourth.

A firth remarked: "That was a nasty outburst from Lydia. I didn't expect that #Emmerdale".

Lydia may be able to explain her random outburst as being due to being terrified about her health.

In upcoming scenes, she will seek help and advice from Chas, after sharing her fear of taking the Huntington's test.

Chas advises Lydia that the only way her mind will be put at rest is if she takes the test.

Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
