Emmerdale fans call out PC for Father Christmas blunder in festive scenes

Emmerdale fans were left unimpressed with this year's choice for Santa after a Father Christmas blunder during the village festivities.

During tonight's episode, PC Swirling swapped his police uniform for a jollier outfit for the residents' choir and to delight the younger population. However, fans have criticised his lackluster performance and were shocked when he didn't even bother to put on his white beard when speaking to children.

Some viewers said it 'destroyed the magical experienc' while others questioned why they would pick a policeman to carry out Father Christmas duties. Taking to Twitter, many voiced their complaints.
