Emmerdale fans call for ‘vile coward’ Paul to leave after brutal Vinny scenes

Emmerdale viewers were shocked on Thursday evening as they witnessed Vinny take a brutal beating from his dad Paul Ashdale.

In pretty harsh scenes, Paul punched his son to the floor and proceeded to kick him several times - but it seems he went a bit too far.

The hideous character - who is about to marry Vinny's mum Mandy Dingle - was seen panicking as Vinny lay lifeless on the gravel.

As he urged his son to wake up, Paul told him he was sorry and was about to walk away when Vinny started coughing and came to.

Emmerdale fans were not impressed at all and took to Twitter to vent.

"Fgs Paul, phone an ambulance! What a coward, he was actually gonna leave him! #Emmerdale @emmerdale," one person wrote.

In the fallout next week, Paul is eager for Vinny to stick to a cover story but Liv is left unconvinced.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
