Emmerdale fans brutally blast 'ridiculous and boring' gangster storyline

Frustrated Emmerdale fans have lashed out at its current 'gangster-style' storyline involving corrupt copper DI Malone, Cain Dingle, Billy Fletcher and Will Taylor, branding it "boring" and "ridiculous".

Last night, viewers watched as Will was left for dead after Cain and Billy managed to escape being arrested after their car was searched for drugs.

Over the last few weeks, the DI has forced the trio to become involved in his dodgy drug operation.

However he was furious after discovering the drugs weren't found in Cain's car.

Later, he met up with Will in a car park, but DI Malone ended up driving them both into the middle of nowhere and shoved him out of the car, leaving him for dead.

But hoards of viewers were not impressed with the storyline and pleaded for it to be over.

One viewer tweeted: "#Emmerdale Am really tired of this DI Malone/Cain, Will, Billy story. Please bring it to an end ideally killing all four off!"

While another commented: "Just get this copper off my screen! #Emmerdale."

A third remarked: "This bent copper storyline is boring as hell #Emmerdale."

"Oh this cop thing is boring the pants off me #Emmerdale," another commented.

One wrote: "This Malone story is getting boring and out hand. Beating up people and setting up people to get arrested is too much especially when the guy is a bent cop and setting them up. Finish it up please @Emmerdale it’s getting a bit much now. #emmerdale."

One pleaded: "Make this bad acting not dodgy copper storyline end soon it's so ridiculous! #emmerdale."

*Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV
